I had an amazing cyclocross season this year, sweeping in podiums for both geared and Singlespeed races nearly every weekend. In September I didn’t even expect much improvement from my results last year, if any; a demanding work schedule and a travel line up I can complain much about kept me from the rigorous workout regime I thought I needed. But between the improvements in handling that came naturally from more mountain biking, and the the increased confidence from having another year of experience under my belt, I saw a marked improvement in my results. Some of my confidence I chalk up to these gear selections; I chose to concentrate on the well worn classics I know I can rely on rather than the bells and whistles.
Looking forward to seeing where I can further improve in 2020!
