A constellation of amenity spaces and accessible pathways connect residential nodes at Nuevo East. Inspired by local geology, the community’s five residential buildings are woven together through materials, massing and landscape to create an interconnected campus experience.

Residential spaces are anchored by the Exchange, a dynamic student resource center with multi-purpose amenity and gathering spaces, university offices and support programs to promote health and wellness. This facility activates the campus edge and defines a welcoming gateway and public plaza for special events like farmers markets, concerts, graduate student lectures and art installations.

An integral keystone in the larger campus vision, Nuevo East is a pivotal portal to campus from the city with multiple pathways to adjacent campus residential communities, including Mesa Nueva and Nuevo West. Linked landscapes and public spaces encourage students, faculty, staff and neighbors to connect and explore.
